ARIA is known for its modern architecture and upscale energy. It’s also one of the most well-equipped business venues on the Las Vegas Strip. The ARIA Convention Center has created a solid place for serious events that don’t want to feel stale. It’s set inside the ARIA Resort & Casino and gives you the best of full-service resort perks and a space built to host high-level finance forums, real estate conferences, or tech-driven exhibits.
How It Started
ARIA came to life as part of the larger CityCenter project. This massive development was a collab between MGM Resorts and Dubai World. The resort opened in December 2009 as the flagship property for the 66-acre CityCenter campus. From day one, ARIA included a promising area of meeting space. But the demand outpaced the supply fast. So, in 2016, they committed $154 million to build out a major expansion for the convention side of the business. They added 200,000 square feet with a clear goal: attract big-name tech and finance events that usually head to places like Chicago or San Francisco. By 2018, the new space was ready to run. The expanded facility added square footage and also design upgrades that separated it from your average meeting venue.
The Layout
Total meeting space now lands at about 500,000 square feet. You’ll find four levels of event space. They’re all equipped with high-speed connectivity, cutting-edge AV, design elements (that ditch the usual beige and brown ballroom look), etc.
* Level 1 gives you 23,000 square feet of flexible space. You can split it into eight rooms. There’s also a built-in stage and over 6,000 square feet of pre-function area to handle registration or networking.
* Level 2 is where things open up a bit. There are 12 breakout rooms, a large terrace, and meeting rooms with floor-to-ceiling glass that can fully open to outside space. It’s rare for indoor spaces in Vegas to flow so easily into open-air areas. This level alone brings in 9,600 square feet of indoor space, plus an additional 5,800 square feet outdoors.
* Level 3 has one of the larger ballrooms, 29,000 square feet, which is also split-ready. There’s a theatrical stage, and everything feels ready for full production work. Be it a keynote, award show, or product reveal, and the space handles the creative side of business well.
* Level 4 leans into natural light. It gives you another 22,000 square feet that can be broken into six sections. This top level also has 7,000 square feet of pre-function space and a 7,000-square-foot terrace with a direct view of The Park and T-Mobile Arena.
All in all, the center provides 75 configurable rooms. The biggest space spans over 51,000 square feet. The second largest clocks in at a little over 38,000. Every room comes with built-in displays, fiber-optic wiring, and plug-and-play functionality for smooth operations.
